What is Gastronomy?

    Gastronomy is the study of human imagination as it is applied to the
    edible world around us.

Why study Gastronomy?

    When we eat, we unmake the world and remake it into ourselves.  The
    goal of food study is to arrive at a better understanding of who we
    define ourselves to be based on the food choices we make.  Food
    study offers us insight into how we choose to interface with
    everything around us.
Gastromancer.com contains the food musings of author and lecturer
Jason Ryan, graduate of Boston University's 'Master's Degree in
Gastronomy' Program.
